How to Create an Aromatic Sanctuary for Sleep
We’ve all heard the “do’s and don'ts” of what we should surround ourselves with while we sleep. Do sleep on a firmer mattress. Don’t use your phone right before you sleep. One of the easiest ways to incorporate a spa-like experience that will instantly boost your mood and promote a mindful rest is aromatherapy.
Aromatherapy is essential for unwinding and an easy first step in creating an oasis out of a, once ordinary, bedroom. Scents like lavender, ylang-ylang, bergamot and sage are great for reducing anxiety and releasing you from our everyday stressors. Aromatherapy is also easy because it can be incorporated in so many different ways. Eucalyptus hanging from your showerhead (make sure to roll it out first!) and rubbing some essential oils on pressure points such as the neck and wrists are all simple and effective.
Our personal favorite way of incorporating aromatherapy is by lighting Twilight, ONB’s debut candle.
